Nancy Pearcey: Saving Leonardo: A Call to Resist the Secular Assault on Mind, Morals, and Meaning
Bryan M. Litfin: The Sword: A Novel (Chiveis Trilogy)
A great fiction book. Full disclosure: the author is a good friend. With that said, it is still a great read. A post apocalyptic people discover anew the "God of the Cross" and the book about him. Reads like a Louis Lamour book in a new setting with a more complex storyline. I look forward to the next installment of the trilogy.
R. Albert Mohler Jr.: Feed My Sheep: A Passionate Plea for Preaching
Really good read. The various authors offer a variety of ideas and perspectives. I enjoyed most of the chapters. Perhaps my favorites were Mohler's, Beeke's, and Kistler's. One of the better compilations to come out in recent years that do not just repeat the same thing. (****)
Bill Conaty: The Talent Masters: Why Smart Leaders Put People Before Numbers
A good read to remind us of the importance of the individual to the success of the organization and some solid examples of creating leadership and personal development systems.
